The use of radish in medicine

Has a great therapeutic effect fresh black radish juice, which is squeezed in August-October from strong juicy root crops. It is recommended to combine radish juice with apple juice. A mixture of radish juice with carrot and beet juice (1: 2: 6) has long been considered a good remedy for the treatment of anemia.

With pulmonary diseases with a chronic course: bronchitis, bronchial asthma, as well as with whooping cough and hemoptysis, drink rare juice 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day (for children - 1 teaspoon 3-4 times a day). Fresh juice is used for coughing, hoarseness, it is recommended to drink it 3 times a day, 1 tablespoon. Radish juice is a good remedy for constipation.

For gallbladder stones, sand and kidney stones, liver stones, it is used in addition to the main treatment. With gallstone disease, a proven old folk remedy has proven itself well: black radish juice is taken for 2-3 weeks before meals in gradually increasing doses from 100 to 400 ml per day, starting with a single dose of 100 ml. A course of treatment is also carried out for 6-8 weeks, starting with a single dose of 50-90 ml, gradually increasing it to 400 ml.

In the complex treatment of chronic cholecystitis, you can recommend fresh juice, 1 tablespoon 3 times a day for a long time.

A mixture of radish or radish juice with carrot juice helps to remove mucus from the body. This mixture restores mucous membranes and provides a cure for sinusitis, tonsillitis and other diseases of the nasopharynx, bronchitis.

Radish juice often helps with children's diathesis, heart rhythm disturbances (1-2 tablespoons before meals, for children - one teaspoon or dessert spoon). It is mixed with honey in equal proportions and taken 3-4 times a day.

Radish juice with honey is a proven remedy among the people. Doctors and beekeepers recommend taking radish in combination with honey to prevent the formation of stones in the gallbladder and kidneys, atherosclerosis, liver disease and dropsy. To do this, the radish root crop should be well washed and dried. Then cut off the top and gently make a depression inside, taking out the pulp, and fill it with honey. After a few hours, the hole is filled with a mixture of juice and honey. It is drunk in a tablespoon (a teaspoon for children) 3-5 times a day 20-40 minutes before meals.

Juice with honey (2-3 times a day, 1/2 cup) is also used for atherosclerosis, gout, arrhythmias, gallstones, liver diseases, neuralgia, anemia, flatulence, to enhance peristalsis. Radish juice with honey can also be used as a diuretic for urolithiasis and edema. The diuretic effect with edema, a tendency to stone formation in the kidneys is manifested when taking juice with honey in equal volumes, starting from 1/2 cup, gradually the dosage reaches two glasses. The course of admission is several days.

In folk medicine, radish juice with sugar is used as an expectorant for lung diseases (even tuberculosis), throat, sore throat, bronchitis and upper respiratory tract catarrh, bronchitis, tracheitis, whooping cough, as a cure. This soothes the cough and makes it easier to cough up. When coughing, it is useful to drink juice 1-3 tablespoons 3-8 times a day.

Radish juice diluted with water (1: 3) with honey or sugar contributes to the onset of menstruation when the cycle is disturbed. A drink of 100 g of radish juice, 100 ml of water, 1 tablespoon of honey and a pinch of salt, taken 100 ml 3 times a day, stimulates milk production in nursing mothers.

For coughs and bronchitis in children, baked radish juice with sugar is used. To do this, cut it into small cubes, place it in a saucepan and sprinkle with sugar. They bake in the oven for two hours, then strain the contents, pour the liquid into a bottle. Drink 2 teaspoons 3-4 times before meals and at night before bedtime.

Black radish tincture: wash 1 kg of root vegetables, cut with the peel, pour 1 liter of vodka and leave for two weeks in a dark place, shaking occasionally, drain. Take 3 times a day for 1/4 cup 30 minutes before meals for cancer.

Outwardly, in the form of applications or rubbing, radish is used as a wound healing, analgesic, bactericidal and distracting agent on the skin. Grated radish is applied instead of mustard plasters.

Poultices of gruel are used to treat eczema, purulent wounds and ulcers.

In case of frostbite, grated radish is recommended to be mixed with an equal amount of hot water, allowed to cool and wash or overlay frostbitten skin with this mixture. The effect is obtained after several procedures.

In case of burns, it is recommended to mix the grated radish with crushed ice, put it on the burn site, cover with gauze and secure. The effect is instant.

Pure radish juice relieves pain in neuralgia, sciatica, sciatica, rheumatic and gouty joint lesions. It must be rubbed along the lesion of a nerve or joint.

Fresh juice lotions help with bruises. It is necessary to moisten in it and slightly squeeze a napkin, apply to the area of ​​the bruise. The juice can be mixed with mustard. Or you can insist the chopped radish on vodka (1: 1) for a week and strain. Moisten a napkin with tincture and apply for 30 minutes (changing every 10 minutes) on a bruise.

For pain in joints and muscles, with neuralgia, sciatica, radiculitis, rubbing is done from radish juice, honey and vodka (4: 2: 1), which is applied to the sore spot along the path of nerve damage, preferably after a bath, before bedtime. At the same time, 1 glass of this mixture is taken orally.

With a mixture of juice, honey and vodka (3: 2: 1) with the addition of salt (1 tablespoon per 0.5 l), sore spots with gout, sciatica, rheumatism are rubbed, and then tied with a woolen cloth. The mixture can be stored in a glass container in the refrigerator.

Contraindications for taking radish juice are pregnancy, inflammatory diseases of the kidneys, liver and pancreas, diffuse toxic goiter, organic heart disease, enterocolitis, gastritis with increased acidity of gastric juice, peptic ulcer and inflammatory processes of the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum. There are known cases of allergic reactions to radish.


The use of radish in cosmetics

Mix radish gruel and egg white, taken in equal amounts. Apply the mask on the face for 15-20 minutes, remove with a warm damp swab, then rinse the face with water. Course 15-20 masks.

For dry skin

Apply grated radish mixed with sour cream or vegetable oil on the skin of the face, then rub it with cool milk.

Mix radish gruel with olive oil, add a few drops of lemon juice and apply on face for 20 minutes, rinse with hot and then cold water.

Mix equal amounts of radish, yolk and cream gruel. Apply the mask on the face for 15-20 minutes, remove with a warm, damp swab, then rinse the face with water. Course 15-20 masks.

As a cosmetic agent for whitening and nourishing dry skin, it is good to use a vodka tincture of seeds or root vegetables. This is an old proven folk remedy for freckles.

The use of radish in cooking

Thanks to their pleasant spicy taste, grated root vegetables are eaten in the form of salads using vegetable oil, sour cream or mayonnaise with the addition of tarragon greens, lemon balm, green onions, as well as various cold side dishes.

Depending on the nature, severity and severity of the disease, a small amount of grated radish, with the knowledge of the doctor, can be added to other vegetable dishes (from fresh cucumbers, for example). At the same time, the irritating effect of the radish is significantly reduced. In all other cases, it is better to serve grated radish with sour cream or vegetable oil.

Recipe 2. You need to mix 300 g of aloe, 500 g of honey and 340 g of Cahors (1 bottle). Aloe (plant age 3-5 years) is not watered for 5 days before use, then it is passed through a meat grinder, mixed with honey, cahors and insisted for 5-7 days in a dark glass bottle in a dark place.
The finished mixture is taken 1 teaspoon 3 times a day 1 hour before meals for 5 days. Then they take a 5-day break. The total course of treatment lasts 2-3 months. This time is enough for the ulcer to heal.

Recipe 3. Take 0.5 cups of aloe juice and the same amount of juice of beets, carrots, onions, black radish, add 100 g of unsalted butter, 100 g of honey and 100 g of Cahors, mix everything. It is advisable to cover the dishes with all the medicinal ingredients with dough on top and put in a dark place (you can near the battery) for 2 days. You need to take the prepared medicine in 1 tbsp. spoon 3 times a day 20 minutes before meals. The treatment lasts 2 weeks. The pain will disappear and the ulcer will heal.

Gastritis with low acidity of gastric juice
0.5 kg of aloe leaves, 0.5 kg of honey, 0.5 kg of butter, 50 g of cocoa. Grind the aloe leaf by cutting along the leaf. Melt butter, mix with honey. Add aloe to this mixture, mix well. Dissolve cocoa in water until sour cream is thick and pour it into the composition, mix everything again. Place the mass in a saucepan and place in the oven to simmer for 3 hours. Make sure not to burn. After 3 hours, remove the pan from the oven, cool, and catch the aloe skins with a slotted spoon. Pour the mixture into a jar. Store in a cool, dark place, but not refrigerate. Mix 1 tbsp. a spoonful of aloe juice with 1 tbsp. spoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of garlic juice. Add egg yolk to the mixture.
